FNN CELEBRATES BLACK HISTORY: FEB. 28, 2014. To celebrate Black History Month, 6th graders in Ms. Adams class researched African American authors. The African-American 6th grade presentation is a presentation in which all of the 6th graders pick a famous African American author, research the author and create a power point presentation on that person. Students wrote a persuasive letter encouraging others to read their work. The presentations were recorded and pictures were taken. Some Famous African-American Authors who we presented about are below.
Kemarte Jefferson- Dr. Ben Carson
Elica Minor- Ashley Bryan
K’Lynn Simmons- Langston Hughes
Matthew Walden-Taylor- Sharon Draper
Michael Jordan- Bill Cosby
JaShawn Edwards- Donavan Crews
This presentation took place at Friendship Public Charter Chamberlain Campus in Ms. Adams 6th grade class. It was amazing. The principle of the school, Mr. Harbor, came to see the presentations. I enjoyed the famous African-American quotes that were read. In my opinion I think these presentations were the most creative, well put together, amazing presentations I have ever seen.
