JUNE 12, 2014. Our fellow eighth grade students at FPCS Chamberlain have just been promoted and are on their way to high school. On Monday, June 9th, eighth graders were promoted. The ceremony was held at Friendship Collegiate Academy. We are proud of all and happy for our valedictorian, Ciara Johnson and our salutatorian, Angel Jordan.

Many of our 8th graders including our valedictorian will be going to another one of our FPCS schools, Collegiate. They have set goals to achieve honor roll, stay active, play sports and join the school clubs.  A few will be attending other public and private schools such as Dematha, Duke Ellington and St. John’s College HS.

We want to thank you for being a good role models for the 5th grade as we started middle school.

Here is what a few of our 5th graders said…….

Lenare Leath will miss our 8th graders. As a fifth grader he has enjoyed being in middle school because the 8th graders were nice to him.  Anytime he is not having a great day, he will look up to the 8th grade to remind him of the Chamberlain way.  Some things I learned from 8th graders like JodyAnne are to ignore distractions and stay focused on class.  Kiara Brown – I appreciate the 8th grade. 8th graders can influence us in a positive way. Rayne Roberts loves that the 8th graders can teach us what we will go through and be expected to learn.

We hope the best for your high school years and we will miss you.
