APRIL, 29, 2014.  On Thursday, March 13, 2014, Friendship Southeast Academy hosted a wonderful Black History play called "Back to the Past". Mr. Wright played drums for dance performers. Ms. Gray was the narrator for the play. They told about Black people in our history. It was telling us about what they did. There were many different students that were dancers. The play had a character who was locked inside of a library because she was so interested in learning about her history.

The play told us about Harriet Tubman, Mary Bethune, Marcus Garvey, Benjamin Banneker and Lena Horne. When we had the play, Ms. Bryant the director sang historical songs. She was singing them because she was letting us know that life wasn’t always perfect for Blacks. We weren’t always living a fair life like we do now. The play was so awesome because it told me about my history.
